On Friday, August 23rd, I attended a Faith in Business breakfast hosted by Regent Bank in Tulsa, OK. Regent Bank hosts and sponsors these events monthly, to encourage businesspeople and ministries to gather together and hear how God is moving around our city and the nation. This event really blessed me, because a special speaker from Congo, Africa, by the name of Durckheim Blessing came to share. Born in 1994, Durck, a street evangelist, medical student, and motivational speaker, has witnessed God preform many healing miracles during his lifetime. Also, in 1994, a lot of blood was shed in the nearest country, Rwanda. Ultimately, the civil war in Rwanda lead to huge destruction in the Congo that left Durck lonely, homeless, hopeless and restless.

Durck and his family lost everything and became fugitives. They walked through three countries of Africa and ended up as refugees in Namibia. During this time, he, his siblings, and mom slept under trees as they fled to safety, avoiding the horr...

God will take you far away from every broken place you've ever been, while picking up the shattered pieces of your life as He walks beside you. He has been in the mending business since the beginning of time, and desires to make you whole again by bringing you to a place of healing restoration through His redemptive power, grace, and forgiveness.

The truth is, we are all broken in some way, and if you and I would be completely honest with ourselves, we feel so unqualified and unworthy to be used by God. Often times, this causes us to wonder how He could ever love and use us the way we are. It is in moments like this where His mercy, compassion, and goodness remind us that God uses broken, humble, honest, and willing people. The tests and trials that we walk through in this life are challenging at times, but He turns them around for His glory, and they ultimately become part of our testimonies to impact others.

I want to encourage you today to not be ashamed of your own brokenness; rath...

There is a difference between worldly approval and God given opportunity. Often times, the world will not understand or agree with the avenues that God has called you to take, or the things He has ordained specifically for you to achieve. As Christians, we have been mandated by God to be set apart for His Kingdom purposes and glory. In addition, we live in the world, but are not of it, and are to exhibit Christ’s character while shining His light in all we do.

Our society today tends to follow whatever is comfortable and cool in the moment. As a result, people are left with feelings of emptiness and worthlessness. Remember, many times, you and I are the only ones who are consumed by a different vision, and we must choose daily to chase after it wholeheartedly; even when everyone else runs the opposite way. Accepting the call to be set apart is never easy. You may be made fun of or emotionally put down, but in the end, following God’s path and guidance is ALL THAT MATTERS! I promise you...

"I know what I was before, and what I am now. The only thing that explains it to me is Christ.” –Bart Millard of Mercyme

This quote touches, inspires, and impacts me deeply, because it profoundly, yet clearly explains what happens to a person when he or she is transformed into the image and likeness of Christ. The old passes away, and He washes and cleanses us with His blood, making us a new creation. There is something so powerful about this life changing transformation that the world cannot explain. It is simply the fact that when we are molded and changed by God, He gives us His grace, mercy, and forgiveness so freely, even when we don’t deserve it.

I don’t know what you have faced in your past, or what situations you may currently be facing, but I am here to tell you that you are not defined by the world, nor do you have to live in constant shame, condemnation, and regret from your past. You are defined by God, because you are His child, and He has set you free. He will never disown...

I sincerely appreciate all the prayers that have been and continue to be prayed over me to receive my healing from Cerebral Palsy. Without them, I would not be where I am today. Through many conversations with God concerning my healing, I believe with all my heart that He heals me daily as I carry this beautiful Cross. It is truly a wonderful gift and tool that I use to impact, reach, and minister to people, with the ultimate goal of pointing others to Christ.

We never have to go through trials in this life alone, because God is walking right beside us, step by step. He never gives us anything that we cannot handle with His guidance and strength. One can either choose to be bitter about his or her imperfections or use them for God’s glory. There’s no such thing as perfect people. All God asks us to do is to come broken, scarred, and humble before Him. He will never reject us, but will mold, shape, restore, change, and conform us to His image through His redemptive power.

God wants to ble...

We fight our battles on our knees in praise

With our hearts surrendered, and our hands raised

While fixing our eyes on Heaven

For we know God will make a way

Because of the high price He paid

So that we can be made whole

In our body, spirit, mind, and soul

And achieve the Heavenly goal

Of making an eternal impact on the lives of those we encounter

By surrounding others with God’s love

And shining His light from above

We can either be surrounded by our problems in this life

Or by faith that everything is in God’s hands

Always remember that Jesus won the toughest battle on the Cross

To reach out and save the lost

He has gone before us

To fight for us when we are weak

And to speak life into what is dead

His love ran red

With every drop of blood He shed

For all of mankind

I attended the Worship Roadshow tour last night at the ORU Mabee Center. This was my first time to attend a show from the tour, and it was such an encouraging night, and powerful time of worship in God's presence. Lives were touched and impacted in countless ways.

Over the last 10 months, I've been having a few health problems that have affected my voice. At times, it has really been discouraging and hard, because I know that God has called me into the music ministry to praise Him, and to use my voice for those who can't speak. This trial has truly been a test of my faith in God, and where I pull my strength from.

I broke down in tears when Natalie Grant was praising and ministering last night, because she too has had recent health issues that should have affected her career. You see, she had to have surgery to remove part of her thyroid due to possible cancer and was told by doctors that her vocal chords were tangled in her thyroid. They also told her that she may never sing the same...

This morning, I read the obituary of one of the greatest men in Christian history, Reverend Billy Graham. It is truly touching to reflect on all the ways that God used Reverend Graham and his ministry to impact the lives of many for eternity. Heaven is having a huge homecoming celebration today.

One of the greatest ways that I have recently been impacted by Billy Graham in the last few years is through his documentary called “Heaven.” I have watched it time and time again, thinking about how wonderful eternity in Heaven will be. This documentary will forever hold a special place in my heart, because I watched it with my Grandma, the last time she came to visit us in Tulsa before she passed away. Both sets of my Grandparents were devout Christians their whole lives, but to this day, I feel as though God was prompting me to watch it with her. It was a special moment that we shared together, and I will never forget it.

Last night, my parents and I watched the Christian movie, Same Kind of...

There are many qualities of the character of God that make Him so amazing. One of the main qualities that often come to mind is God's grace. Grace is about God reaching back to us when we reach out to Him, and about God catching us in His loving arms when we fall. It doesn't matter what we have done, or how many times we have failed, He loves us anyway through a constant, loving pursuit of our hearts. God's main mission is the pursuit of mankind through salvation given to us by His Son Jesus. When Jesus died on the Cross and rose again, God painted a beautiful picture of how He willingly gave His One and only Son to die the death that we fully deserve, with the purpose of ultimately giving us eternal life in Him.

No distance is ever present between God and His children. Our souls are constantly longing for the intimate connection that can only be found in a relationship with our Heavenly Father. The reason for this is because there is a God shaped hole in our hearts that...

No one person is perfect, but God still made each one of us for a specific purpose and calling. The amazing thing is that God knows we are not perfect, yet He still accepts and uses us as we are. He knows our biggest flaws, and refines us daily, ultimately making us more like Him. The only way for us to become more like God is to lean on Him daily, admitting that we can't walk through this life without Him. The refining process is often painful, because God prunes away the things in our lives that get in the way of our relationship with Him. God truly desires for us to fellowship with Him, which is why He created us so that He could have a family. Being part of God's family is unlike anything you will ever experience on earth. It is one of the most rewarding things a person will ever do in his or her lifetime.

Salvation is the entrance into God's family, and Heaven. The truth is that we are all sinners, and need His salvation and guidance daily! The beautiful thing is that salvation is...
